2023 Winter Promotions at Carlos Machado Jiu Jitsu Mid Cities in Bedford Texas was a Huge Success
We are very proud to announce that after the conclusions of the 2023 Winter Promotions held on December 9, 2023 at Carlos Machado Jiu Jitsu Mid Cities here in Bedford Texas, we have calculated the following:
Professor Greg Hamilton BJJ promoted students to the following belt ranks:
22 Students Were Promoted to - BLUE BELT
10 Students Were Promoted to - PURPLE BELT
6 Students Were Promoted to - BROWN BELT
1 Student Was Promoted to - ORANGE BELT
Professor Phillip Bulloch was promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt by Professor Greg Hamilton BJJ during the ceremony making him Greg Hamilton's 1st Black Belt at the rank of 1st degree and was presented with the "Professor of the Year 2023" award by Professor Greg Hamilton BJJ.
Clara Boyles was promoted to 3rd Degree Blue Belt by Professor Greg Hamilton BJJ and was also presented with the award for "Athlete of the Year for 2023".
Having competed in every Dallas Jiu Jitsu World League event in 2023 as well as one event in Houston, Clara competed in both Gi and NoGi and finished the 2023 season Ranked #1 Female athlete according to Jiu Jitsu World League Organization for 2023 for the Texas Region in BOTH Gi & NoGi which is truly an incredible accomplishment for this full time mom of 2 and ER Nurse.
Everybody knows that there are a lot of very big powerhouse academies here in DFW not to mention Austin where Gordon Ryan, Nicholas Meregali and John Danaher call home, Houston and throughout Texas in general which is why the competition at events like Jiu Jitsu World League has such strong competition and thousands of athletes who registered to compete.
2023 was the year where Clara Boyles topped them all making this year her 2nd consecutive year Ranked #1 Female in Texas according to the 2022 Jiu Jitsu World League Organization season.
Congratulations Clara Boyles on the promotion, on the amazing year competing and on being awarded the 2023 Athlete of the Year for team Carlos Machado Jiu Jitsu Mid Cities here in Bedford Texas and Professor Greg Hamilton BJJ.
Coach Bryan Hetherington was promoted to the rank of Brown Belt by Professor Greg Hamilton BJJ and was also presented with the award for "2023 Coach of the Year".
It was an emotional and powerful moment as Coach Bryan thanked his Professors and spoke to the students who were in attendance to celebrate one another's achievements and promotions.
This past week saw countless students promoted not only to new belts, but also to new degrees so we have been very busy acknowledging our wonderful students for their hard work, dedication and consistency, which simply means showing up and doing the work, training and enjoying the Jiu Jitsu Journey which you can to by coming in for a FREE WEEK TRIAL for Kids, Teens and Adults.
